VapCyc® is an advanced vapor compression cycle design and simulation tool capable of shortening product development cycles and reducing product development costs. By offering accurate simulation data, engineers can quickly and reliably assess multiple system configurations before building and testing prototypes in the lab. The tool is component based, and can be populated with your product data to fully characterize the system under evaluation.

Specifically, VapCyc® enables:
  • Quick evaluation of system components on the fly
  • Modeling using alternative refrigerants, including evaluation of CO2 cycles
  • Use of CoilDesigner® files to accurately model coil behavior
  • System Requirements
    • Dual Core Intel/AMD Processor 2.0 GHz, 4 GM RAM, 1 GB disk space (additional disk space is required to store program output)
    • Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating System (Windows XP or higher)
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and 4.0 with complete Windows Updates
    • Minimum monitor resolution of 1440 by 990
    • Account for fin conduction
    • Account for multiple tube diameters, fin types, and fin spacings for a single heat exchanger
    • Simulate variable microchannel geometry
    • Integrate CFD analysis to account for air mal-distribution
